Important Student Notice Regarding Saving Documents

Throughout the school year, many students experience problems with USB flash drives and ultimately lose their work. Any coursework stored on flash drive should be backed up to at least one other source to protect against last-minute disasters. Don't find yourself holding a USB drive with a corrupted file 10 minutes before a term paper is due.

Protect yourself:
  1. Backup your files on your personal laptop computer.
  2. Save an electronic copy of the document to your Files, "Backpack" storage available through your myHeartland account. The standard storage space limit for your backpack is 100 MB.
  3. Always save your latest printout of any important document.
