ESL Bridge is a combination of English language instruction and GED preparation. The course helps students build their academic knowledge and language ability in order to pass the GED exam, to enroll in college-level classes, or to improve employment. Students who successfully complete ESL Bridge may enroll in the Academic English Language Program or other college classes. For non-native speakers who do not have a high school diploma or who have difficulty obtaining and translating transcripts from foreign schools, the ESL Bridge may be the answer!
In ESL Bridge, students improve their English while preparing to take the GED exam. ESL Bridge participants study the English language along with American government, Social Studies, Science and Math. The focus is on academic skills such as writing essays, reading for academic purposes, and giving class presentations. Teachers and tutors help students decide when they’re ready to take the GED exam, move on to the Academic English Language Program, or register for college-level classes.
ESL Bridge is a free class! ESL students interested in the GED exam or college-level study should contact us to find out more!
