Skills for Success is a FREE program designed for individuals who need employment assistance. The program includes instruction in job search skills, resume development and interview skills. There is also an optional four-week class in computer skills. Participants learn about their individual strengths and weaknesses and how they can use them to find and keep a job. They also learn how to articulate their goals and experience in a way that is meaningful to employers.
Priority enrollment in the Skills for Success program is given to students in Heartland’s GED program, to individuals who receive financial assistance from the City of Bloomington Township or Department of Human Services, and to individuals who are referred to the program by the Bloomington Housing Authority. Other candidates will be allowed into the program as space is available.
