Bridge to Manufacturing Careers

The Bridge to Manufacturing Careers is a tuition-free class designed for GED and ESL students who are interested in working in manufacturing.  In the Bridge to Manufacturing Careers, you will:

  • Explore careers in manufacturing and begin to plan your career pathway;
  • Learn vocabulary and concepts you will need in your manufacturing career;
  • Improve your reading, communication, math and science skills;
  • Become familiar with the culture of the manufacturing industry;
  • Prepare for the GED exam if necessary;
  • Earn some college-level credit.

The Bridge to Manufacturing Careers will prepare you for success in one of several manufacturing certificate or degree programs offered at Heartland Community College.

The Bridge to Manufacturing Careers is only available on the Main Campus in Normal.
