Attendees had fun and wagered "Heartland Bucks" on five, electronic Grand Prix style feature races on a Monaco track, with drivers from community organizations and local businesses, plus some participants hand-picked from the audience.  Players converted winnings into raffle tickets into prizes including a pizza a month from Rosati's and season tickets to Community Players Theater among others.

The evening also featured:
•    Heavy hors de 'overves and fun desserts
•    Unique silent and live auction items including a Disney get-away, free tires and gasoline valued at $400, tickets to a Chicagoland Speedway race and concert featuring Brantley Gilbert.
•    DJ music provided by DJ4U
•    Fun do-it-yourself photos against a car racing background

In all, the event raised more than $30,000 for the Heartland Foundation's Scholarship Fund.

Sara Borque, winner of the auto raffle package said of the event, "Evening of Dreams was such a fun, interactive event to support our Heartland students. Great company, atmosphere, and food were a compliment to the ultimate goal of the evening--to raise money for scholarships. I was even called by two scholarship recipients the next week to thank me for my donation"  She adds,"It was the icing on the cake to win the care care raffle for $200 worth of tires from Discount Tire and $200 worth of gas from Quick N Ez. I will definitely attend next year!"
