 The
Division of Academic Support
The
Division of Academic Support provides support to Heartland Community
College by offering quality instructions, programs, and services
for students and faculty. The Academic Support
Center (ASC), a component of the Division, provides all students
with the assistance and resources needed to successfully meet the
challenges of the educational environment. The ASC is a learning
community that provides programs and services which utilize the
latest technology, pedagogical methods, delivery formats, while
keeping students' needs at the core of the educational experience.
Our
mission in the division of Academic Support is to recognize that
in order to assist students in attaining the competitive edge to
succeed, we must put them first and educate according to their specific
goals and abilities. Thereby, enhancing one's chances of becoming
a productive member of the community and preparing him or her for
lifelong learning.
We
value quality, integrity, and pride through all of our programs
and services while supporting the mission of the institution. In
addition, the Division is also committed to providing personal growth
and enrichment opportunities for faculty and staff in all of Heartland's
academic divisions and student support services. Our goal is to
challenge and support students, faculty, and staff to reach their
fullest potential through all of our programs and services.
