10/24/2009 - In a disappointing 2-4 loss to SWIC in Region playoffs, the Hawks end their season 13-4-1. Javier Torres scored both goals for Heartland.

10/18/2009 - Heartland defeated Jefferson College 2-0, both Hawk goals came from the leading scorer, Javier Torres.

10/16/2009 - Phil Hamilton and Javier Torres each recorded a hat trick in the 13-3 win over Joliet Junior College. Torres also had three assists, Matt McClure and Brent VanLanduyt each scored twice and Aaron Brown, Adam Carruthers, and Chris Wallace had one goal each.

10/10/2009 - The Hawks were looking good in the first half of the game going up 1-0 on a Matt McClure goal vs. Illinois Central College. In the start of the second half, however, ICC had five unanswered goals in the first 10 minutes of the half. Heartland tried to answer back with two more goals, both from Javier Torres, but it just wasn't enough in the 3-5 loss.

10/7/2009 - Phil Hamilton, Javier Torres, and Matt McClure scored the four Heartland goals to earn the 4-1 win over Parkland College. Torres had two goals and two assists, McClure had a goal and an assist, and Hamilton had one goal. The Hawks have won five straight games.

10/7/2009 - Freshman, Javier Torres, earned Player of the Week honors for the week of September 28-October 4.

10/3/2009 - Javier Torres continues his goal scoring streak, he scored four goals against Springfield College to lead the Hawks to a 7-0 victory. Chris Wallace, Aaron Brown, and Matt Foote each had one goal and Julio Ortega had two assists.

9/30/2009 - This is the third straight game Javier Torres has scored at least one goal. Torres scored in the first half off an assist from Phil Hamilton, and the Hawks held SWIC off for the rest of the game to win 1-0.

9/26/2009 - Javier Torres scores three goals in the 10-0 win over Carl Sandburg. Julio Ortega added a goal and had two assists. Other goals came from, Phil Hamilton, Jagdeep Kang, Tyler DeGroot, Matt McClure, Brad Matthews, and Matt Foote.

9/21/2009 - Javier Torres leads the NJCAA in scoring with 32 points, he has 14 goals and 4 assists. Philip Hamilton is right behind him in the number two spot with 11 goals and 5 assists.

9/20/2009 - Phil Hamilton lead the Hawks to victory with three goals and an assist in the 10-0 shutout vs. Kankakee Community College. Javier Torres added two goals and Steven Carlson had two assists and a goal.

9/19/2009 - The Hawks couldn't find the net and fall to College of Lake County 0-1 in overtime. Heartland out shot Lake County 10:2 but a deflection in the Hawk goal in overtime gave Lake County the opportunity they needed.

9/18/2009 - Heartland wins 2-1 over Danville Area Community College. Danville took the early lead but the Hawks answered back when Adam Carruthers assisted Matt McClure for the first Heartland goal. The Javier Torres scored the game winning goal off a Phil Hamilton assist.

9/15/2009 - Hawks are victorious over Kishwaukee, 2-1. Kishwaukee took the early lead in the first half off a header in to the goal. Heartland evened out the score in the second half on an unassisted goal by Javier Torres and Phil Hamilton scored the game winner in the 85th minute.

9/12/2009 - The Hawks improve to 4-1-1 with a 2-1 victory over Lincoln College. Lincoln scored the first goal of the game off a keeper deflection. Heartland's Steven Carlson equalized in the 75th minute of the game, breaking through the defense and placing the ball around the Lincoln goal keeper. Freshman, Chris Wallace scored the game winner on a breakaway with 10 minutes left in the game.

9/8/2009 - Hawks faced off against Lewis and Clark with the game ending in a 1-1 tie, after double overtime. Lewis and Clark scored in the first half, but the Hawks answered in the second half with a unassisted goal by Phil Hamilton.

9/5/2009 - Heartland defeats Rend Lake 5-2. Freshmen, Javier Torres and Phil Hamilton lead the team in goals and assists. Phil Hamilton scored three goals and had one assist while Javier Torres scored two and had one assist. Heartland out shot Rend Lake 15-6.

9/1/2009 - Hawks played a tough game against Lincoln Land Community College, LLCC scored the first two goals of the game. Hawks, Javier Torres closed the gap to 1-2 on an unassisted goal. In the second half Philip Hamilton tied the game with a goal off a Torres assist, but they couldn't hang on and LLCC scored their third goal in the eightieth minute. The Hawks outshot Lincoln Land 10:5 and had two shots hit the crossbar in the 3-2 loss.

8/29/2009 - In their second regular season game, the Hawks defeated Carl Sandburg College 8-0. Javier Torres had four goals and one assist, while Philip Hamilton, Danny Broadbent, and Chris Wallace each had a goal. Freshman, Adam Carruthers tallied three assists for the game.

8/28/2009 - The Hawks faced Kaskaskia College in their home opener on Friday and won 5-1. Freshman, Javier Torres lead the team with three goals, Philip Hamilton and Jagdeep Kang also scored one goal each.

12/10/2008 - Four Hawks continue their soccer careers at four year colleges. Mathew Waltz will be moving onto Loras College, Josh Rule will be playing at Olivet Nazarene University, Tim Wallace continues on to Robert Morris College and Nick Jefferson will stay in town and compete at Illinois Wesleyan University.
