Chris Grieshaber enters his second season as an assistant women’s soccer coach for Heartland Community College.

During Grieshaber’s first season with the team in 2013, the Hawks went 3-11-0 overall and 2-4-0 in Region 24 action, had three All-Region 24 Honorable Mention selections, and two academic all-conference picks.

Grieshaber came to HCC from Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, where he spent three years with head coach Patric Molinari. Grieshaber has been coaching on competitive youth and high school levels for over 15 years in Missouri, Michigan, and Illinois, and currently holds his "D" coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

An all-state defender in high school at Affton High School (MO), Grieshaber moved on to play competitively in Michigan for seven years before moving to Bloomington-Normal with his family. He has over 30 years of playing experience, including six with his current club team, Peoria Sports Verein.

Grieshaber is a graduate of the University of Illinois (1998) and the University of Michigan (2007). He and his family currently reside in the Bloomington-Normal community, where he teaches courses in risk management and safety at Illinois State University.
