10/23/2008 - Hawks fall in the regional semi-finals to #2 seeded, Southwestern Illinois College. Heartland had several chances to score but just couldn't find the net and lost 0-3. Sophomore, Abi Eckstein had 5 saves in goal.

10/19/2008 - Women's soccer wins over Springfield College after a goal by freshman, Jessie Bonds in overtime. The game was tied 0-0 going in to overtime when Bonds broke away from the defender to go one-on-one vs. the goalkeeper and chipped in the game winning goal.

10/14/2008 - Jessie Bonds scored two goals to help lead the Hawks to victory over Kaskaskia. Maggie Griggs, Jill Hedrick and Sarah McCorkle each had goals to make the score 5-2.

10/11/2008 - Hawks soar over Carl Sandburg College 8-0 with Jessie Bonds and Jill Hedrick leading the scoring with two goals each. Other goals were produced by Ideran, Howerton, Patton and Salazar.

10/9/2008 - Hawks defeat Parkland College 2-0. The first goal came from NCHS grad Jill Hedrick off an assist from freshman Jessie Bonds. Freshman, Megan Evans (El Paso-Gridley HS) scored the second goal off a rebound from the opponent's goalkeeper's hands.

10/4/2008 - Heartland falls to nationally ranked SWIC, 0-2. Normal West grad, Abi Eckstein had eight saves in the goal.

9/29/2008 - Hawks fight off Springfield College with HCC scoring three goals to Springfield's two. Freshman, Jessie Bonds had two goals, one was a header into the goal off an Alisha Ideran assist. The third goal was scored by Maggie Griggs off a rebound from the goalkeeper's hands.
