8/25/2008 - Hawks' win their first home game against Kaskaskia with a score of 6-0. Jill Hedrick scored the first goal off an assist from Jessie Bonds. Other goals were scored by Megan Evans, Janee' Patton, Erin Gunville, Sarah McCorkle and Jessie Bonds.
8/23/2008 - The hawks win their first regular season game in the Waubonsee CC tournament. They faced Waubonsee in the first game of the day and in double overtime the hawks won 2-1. Freshman, Jessie Bonds scored the first goal with a header off an assist from Janee' Patton. In double overtime the second goal was scored by Janee' Patton on a loose ball off of the opponent's goalkeeper's hands.
8/23/2008 - In the second game of the Waubonsee tournament, Heartland faced Joliet Junior College and won 3-2 from penalty kicks after double overtime. The penalty kick goals were scored by Jessie Bonds, Sara Harmann and Erin Gunville. Sophomore goalkeeper, Abigail Eckstein, saved three of the opponent's penalty kicks.
