The 2009 Heartland Hawks' softball season will be one to remember for many years to come. The ladies fought their way against the five-time defending champions, Phoenix College, to be named the NJCAA Division II National Champions. This is an enormous accomplishment, especially for a program that was only in its second year of operation. The Hawks ended their season with an impressive 50-8 record and went on a 21 game winning streak to finish as national champions. Congratulations ladies and we look forward to another great year ahead of us! Go Hawks!
