Why do you love working at Heartland?

I became a Mathematics Instructor at Heartland Community College and have since been promoted to Assistant Professor of Mathematics.

What other areas of interest do you have?

I started college in 1994 at Western Illinois University in the Pre-Engineering program. I transferred to the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign starting in my junior year. In 1998 I graduated from UIUC with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working as an Engineer for 4 years at Woodward in Rockford, I decided to leave engineering and pursue a career teaching mathematics. I returned to UIUC and entered the PhD program in the Math department. After receiving a Master's Degree in Mathematics, I left UIUC and became a Visiting Professor at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska during the 2011 academic year. In the Fall of 2012
