IAI Humanities CHIN 202: Intermediate Chinese II

-Completion of CHIN 201 with a grade of C or better OR
-Pass CHIN 201 proficiency exam OR
-Permission of division dean
-Placement at college level English OR
-Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 099/101
-Placement at college level reading

CHIN 202 is a fourth semester course that focuses on the mastery of intermediate and advanced level Chinese language concepts. The course incorporates strategies to improve oral and written communicative competencies through discussions, readings, and compositions on cultures, customs, and traditions of the Chinese-speaking world. Additionally, students will analyze short pieces of Chinese literature and engage in a cross-disciplinary presentation in relation to the humanities: Art, literature, music, dance, etc. 4 credit hours
