CHLD 222: Math Content and Concepts for the Young Child

Prerequisite(s):
-Placement at ENGL 098
AND
-Completion of MATH Placement test

This course is an exploration of early mathematical content and concepts relevant to young children ages 0-6. Students will learn strategies to encourage and promote mathematical understanding in young children. Particular emphasis will be on the following concepts: numbers, measurement, shapes, patterns, spatial relations, and analysis of data. 3 credit hours

Career and Technical Course: This course is a specific requirement for an Associate of Applied Science or certificate program and may not transfer. Please consult with your advisor about transferability.
