CRJ 208: Administration of Justice

-Placement at college level English OR
-Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 099/101

An overview of the criminal court system in operation. The judicial process involving court personnel, defendants, victims and advocacy groups will be explored. The role of the public defender system will also be examined. Emphasis will be placed on rules controlling pre- and post-trial proceedings, including motions, appeals, habeas corpus, courtroom procedures and protocol. 3 credit hours
