HLTH 104: BLS for Healthcare Providers
- There are no formal prerequisites for this course, however completion of placement tests or equivalent is required.
The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course has no specific prerequisites. The vast majority of participants will consist of individuals preparing for emergency medical services, nursing, and other healthcare providers. This course meets the requirements for lifeguards, police, firefighters, childcare workers, and lay workers who are completing prerequisites for the BLS Instructor’s Course, EMT 101, and the nursing curriculum. 0.5 credit hour
Career and Technical Course: This course is a specific requirement for an Associate of Applied Science or certificate program and may not transfer. Please consult with your advisor about transferability.
