MATH 106: College Algebra for Bus & Soc Sci

-Completion of MATH 093 or 094 OR
-Placement at college level math
-Completion of MATH 098 with a C OR
-Placement out of Geometry
-Placement at ENGL 099/101 OR
-Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 098

A brief review of basic algebraic concepts and introduction to more advanced concepts. Topics are viewed graphically, as well as algebraically. Topics include graphing and solving linear, logarithmic, exponential, polynomial, power, radical, and rational functions, systems of linear equations, and application problems. A graphing calculator is required for this course (instruction will be based on a TI 83+). 4 credit hours
