IAI Mathematics MATH 136: Mathematics for Elementary Teachers II

Prerequisite(s):
-Completion of MATH 135 with a grade of C or higher
AND
-Completion of MATH 098 with C OR
-Placement out of Geometry
AND
-Placement at ENGL 099/101 or higher OR
-Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 098

This course focuses on mathematical reasoning and problem solving; and provides instruction in teaching mathematics at the elementary grade level. Topics include algebra, probability, statistics, geometry, measurement, and the use of technology in the elementary school classroom. A scientific calculator is required for this course (a graphing calculator is also acceptable). 3 credit hours
