NETW 271: Cisco Router Security

-Completion of NETW 122
-Placement at college level English OR
-Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 099/101
-Placement at college level reading

This is an advanced course in the CISCO Networking Curriculum. The course is designed to provide students with classroom and laboratory experience in securing Cisco Routers and interrelated networks. Instruction will focus on network security essentials, attack threats and basic router management. Secure router administration, authentication, configuring RADIUS and TACACS+ servers, access lists, cryptography along with intrusion detection and VPN configuration will also be covered. 3 credit hours

Career and Technical Course: This course is a specific requirement for an Associate of Applied Science or certificate program and may not transfer. Please consult with your advisor about transferability.
