NURS 112: Introduction to Nursing
-Acceptance into the ADN program
-Completion with a grade of C or better or concurrent enrollment in BIOL 181, NURS 113, NURS 117, and PSY 101
This course focuses on the development of the individual as a nursing student and the conceptual and theoretical aspects of nursing practice and health care. The student will explore the evolution of professional nursing and foundations of the science and art of nursing. A basic understanding of ethical issues, as well as gaining insight to health care delivery issues, understanding the legal parameters of nursing care, and exploring the influences of nursing politics will be developed. 1 credit hour
Career and Technical Course: This course is a specific requirement for an Associate of Applied Science or certificate program and may not transfer. Please consult with your advisor about transferability.
