RAD 121: Fundamentals of Radiologic Sciences II

Prerequisite(s):
-Completion of BIOL 181, RAD 111, RAD 112, and RAD 113 with a grade of C or better
AND
-Completion with a C or better or concurrent enrollment in RAD 122 and RAD 123

This course continues the focus on optimal patient care. A more detailed look at infection control in the health care setting. Routine and emergency patient care procedures are described including vital signs, and the use of tubes, catheters, line and other medical devices. Basic concepts of pharmacology, venipuncture and administration of diagnostic contrast agents and intravenous medications are covered. 3 credit hours
