RAD 134: Radiographic Imaging I

Prerequisite(s):
-Completion of HLTH 110, BIOL 181, RAD 111, 112, 113, 121, 122, and 123 with a grade of C or better
AND
-Completion with a C or better or concurrent enrollment in BIOL 182, RAD 132, and RAD 133
AND
-Placement in college level English and reading-Completion of HLTH 110, BIOL 181, RAD 111, 112, 113, 121, 122, and 123 with a grade of C or better
AND
-Completion with a C or better or concurrent enrollment in BIOL 182, RAD 132, and RAD 134
AND
-Placement in college level English and reading

This course includes instruction in the multiple energy transformations required for the production of radiographic images. Current imaging equipment and emerging technology are discussed. The nature of ionizing radiation, its control and interactions with the body are included. 3 credit hours

Career and Technical Course: This course is a specific requirement for an Associate of Applied Science or certificate program and may not transfer. Please consult with your advisor about transferability.
