RAD 214: Radiographic Imaging II

-Completion of BIOL 182, RAD 132, 133 and 134 with a C or better
-Completion with a C or better or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 101, RAD 211, 213, and 215

Integrating the information covered in RAD 134, this course addresses the image properties of brightness, contrast, spatial resolution, distortion and all factors affecting these characteristics. Adjusting technical factors to stay within acceptable exposure index and minimizing patient exposure, which includes changes in kVp, mAs, SID, relative system speed, generator type, grids, and FOV. Digital image processing, AEC, APR, technique chart development, fluoroscopy, emerging imaging technologies are included. 3 credit hours
