SOC 220: Social Inequalities
-Placement at college level English OR
-Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 099/101
-Placement at college level reading AND
-Completion of SOC 101 recommended
An exploration of differences in the economic, political, and social power of groups and a study of how power differences explain various social inequalities. Class, sex, race/ethnicity, age, occupational, educational, and global inequalities are among the subjects discussed. 3 credit hours
