IAI Social and Behavioral Sciences ANTH 101: Introduction to Cultural Anthropology

Prerequisite(s):
-Placement at college level English OR
-Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 099/101

This course provides an introduction to human culture encompassing social organization, the arts, technology, economics, religion, language, family, and identity, as well as the effects of globalization. Drawing on examples from around the world and close to home, students will explore the broad variation of cultural expression, as well as the common characteristics shared by all. 3 credit hours

IAI Social and Behavioral Sciences ANTH 102: Introduction to General Anthropology

Prerequisite(s):

This course provides an introductory survey of Anthropology and its subfields (cultural anthropology, physical anthropology, archaeology, and linguistics). Students will study the nature of humans and their development in relationship to their physical and social environment today and in the past. 3 credit hours
