For Youth

  • 3...2...1...lift-off! The Challenger Learning Center astronauts are on their way to Mars! Join us for a two-day adventure to this exciting destination. Begin your training learning about the rockets that will launch us to the Red planet. Then, determine the best site for us to land and explore our new environment. Once we land we will work with other crew members to build a Mars base so you can live in this exotic place. This program is open to students in grades 2-6. Bring a lunch and if you have food allergies, please bring snacks as well.

  • Do you like to tear apart equipment to see how it works on the inside? Or assemble materials to make new inventions? Then this is the camp for you! Get your gears turning and toy around with gadgets and parts as you destroy, create, and invent. Pack a lunch. If you have food allergies, bring snacks as well.

  • Homeschoolers - step into the simulator and turn into a scientist or astronaut for the day. Older students will participate in hands-on STEM activities and fly a space mission while younger students explore the Discovery Lab and travel the solar system. An Avanti's sack lunch is included.

  • Grab your friends for an overnight adventure of exploration and discovery. Eat pizza, learn about the wonders of the solar system, and then blast off on a mission to space. Enjoy a movie and popcorn before lights out. Spend the morning playing fun space games before it's time to return home to Earth. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow.l.

  • Join the Challenger Learning Center for a space-tacular hands-on adventure as we explore all things outer space. Take a journey through the solar system to learn about the planets and NASA missions. You'll also investigate the principles of rocketry and launch your very own rocket! A parent or guardian must attend with child, and each parent and child must register for the class. Costs for each parent/child pair includes supplies and one rocket.

For Adults

  • Take to the moon during this exploratory community event. Learn more about Earth's closest neighbor and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing. Move through multiple stations with hands-on and digital activities as you mine for minerals or build a lunar base. Use a 3D pen, program a robot, and lift-off in the Athena Transport Module. This is a free, open-house event for all ages. Register in advance to avoid the sign up line at the door.

  • Who knew you could mix science with comedy? Laugh your way across the galaxy with the Challenger Learning Center crew as your team of cadets launches a mission in space to rendezvous with a comet. This is an engaging, hands-on space simulation with some wacky twists. This mission is intended for adults only.

  • Want to fly a drone and get paid? First, you'll need your remote pilot certificate. Taught by a certified remote pilot, this class will provide practical insight and application of aviation concepts and test-taking skills in preparation to successfully pass the knowledge test. Develop your understanding in these areas: UAS regulations, maintenance and preflight inspections, airspace classification, airport operations, weather and emergency procedures, and more. This is a test prep course, and the certification exam is not included. Exam process and locations will be discussed during class. Exam fees average $150.
