Jo joined the Challenger Learning Center team after retiring from the U.S. Air Force Space Command. She brings with her years of Space background and instructing experience from the National Security Space Institute as well experience as a substitute teacher in the local area. She enjoys sharing her space experience with the students to inspire them to follow their dreams.
Libby has enjoyed combining her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with her passion for space & technology for nearly a decade at the Challenger Learning Center. Her adventures in the aerospace world help bring simulated space missions, camps, and other programs to life for both children and adults at the CLC. She particularly loves the magical moments where students realize that if they work together and put their minds to it, they are capable of amazing things!
Jill joined Challenger Learning Center staff after teaching 5th grade for 33 years with Unit 5. She brought many classes to the CLC on field trips over the years. She enjoys seeing students think critically and apply their problem-solving abilities in missions.Phone: 309-268-8703
- Joe began as a volunteer in 2004 after retiring from elementary school teaching for over 30 years. He began commanding missions in 2006 at the Prairie Aviation Museum. He has flown over 1,000 missions with students over the last 15 years and still enjoys working with students.
Joanna joined the CLC staff as a part-time Flight Director in June 2019.
Chris joined the CLC staff as a part-time Flight Director in June 2019.
Shaun joined the CLC staff as a part-time Flight Director in June 2019.
She enjoys working with students and teachers and appreciates the joy that students receive from trips to the Challenger Learning Center. She answers teacher questions, enters student data and ensures things run smoothly before and after the missions.
