Stacey has been a part of the Challenger Learning Center since 2003 after teaching in public and private schools. She received BS and MS in education from Illinois State University. Her favorite aspect of teaching is when students are able to apply what they have learned. Living the mission: inspire, explore, learn, she is a certified flight instructor (CFI) and drone pilot.
Libby has enjoyed combining her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with her passion for space & technology for nearly a decade at the Challenger Learning Center. Her adventures in the aerospace world help bring simulated space missions, camps, and other programs to life for both children and adults at the CLC. She particularly loves the magical moments where students realize that if they work together and put their minds to it, they are capable of amazing things!
Jo is a retired U.S. Air Force Space Command satellite operator with over a decade of hands-on crew and classroom instructor experience as well as developing lesson plans, technical manuals and professional development for the military. She has taught at the National Security Space Institute as well as a substitute teacher in the local area. She graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and the University of Illinois with a Master of Science degree. - Joe began as a volunteer in 2004 after retiring from elementary school teaching for over 30 years. He began commanding missions in 2006 at the Prairie Aviation Museum. He has flown over 1,000 missions with students over the last 15 years and still enjoys working with students.
Jill joined Challenger Learning Center staff after teaching 5th grade for 33 years with Unit 5. She brought many classes to the CLC on field trips over the years. She enjoys seeing students think critically and apply their problem-solving abilities in missions.
She enjoys working with students and teachers and appreciates the joy that students receive from trips to the Challenger Learning Center. She answers teacher questions, enters student data and ensures things run smoothly before and after the missions.
Crystal is a firm believer of Continuing Education and what it means to the community, and her key to happiness is helping others. She schedules courses, shops for supplies, and corresponds with instructors. She has worked at Heartland for two years, with an extensive background of customer service.
