Q: Can I register during the first session of class?
A: Class time is valuable so you must register before the first session is held. Payment is due when you register. Click here for registration information.

Q: Do I need a textbook?
A: Some classes include cost of textbook in course fee; others may require you to purchase a textbook. Information about the textbook will be provided on the first day/night of classes.

Q: Where can I purchase the textbook?
A: Textbooks are available for purchase at the Heartland Community College Bookstore located on the first floor of the Student Commons Building, 1500 W. Raab, Normal, IL 61761. Their telephone number is (309) 452-9007.

Q: Do I get a refund if I drop a class?
A: If you wish to drop a class that has one or two sessions, you must do so no later than two working days before the first session in order to receive a full refund. After that time no refund will be issued. If you wish to drop a class that has more than two sessions, you must do so before the second session in order to receive a full refund.

Q: What does "CCB" mean?
A: This is one of the codes for our buildings on campus. It stands for the "Community Commons Building." Other codes can be interpreted by referencing our location key that is included in every booklet/brochure.

Q: When is the Community Education schedule booklet published and mailed?
A: The Community Education schedule booklet is published and mailed after the credit booklet. You can generally expect to receive the fall booklet before Labor Day and the spring booklet after New Year’s Day.
