Legal Secretary Online

This intensive program is designed for both beginning and experienced secretaries who are interested in improving their skills and working more efficiently within the law office. You will study such topics as: legal terminology; legal process; jurisdiction and venue; ethics; written communications including letters, pleadings, discovery, notices and motions; filing procedures, billing and accounting; time management; records management; overview of commonly used word and data processing programs; legal research; memoranda preparation, and citation format. A certificate of completion will be awarded upon successful completion of this program. There are no prerequisites. Paralegal Online

This intensive, nationally acclaimed program is designed for beginning as well as advanced legal workers. You will be trained to interview witnesses, investigate complex fact patterns, research the law, prepare legal documents, and assist in preparing cases for courtroom litigation. The instruction is practice-oriented and relates to those areas of law in which paralegals are in most demand. Areas of study include:

  • Legal Terminology, Documents, Ethics, and the Litigation Process
  • Introduction to the Evidentiary Predicate
  • Identifying Relevant Authority
  • Introduction to Legal Research
  • Legal Research Practice
  • Legal Writing and Appellate Procedure

The program is broken into two concurrent sections, Paralegal I and Paralegal II, that runs 14 weeks; seven weeks for Paralegal I and seven weeks for Paralegal II. PMP® Project Management for Professionals

This online course is offered in partnership with Omnikron University.

The primary goal of this workshop is to prepare students to successfully complete the examination required for earning the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification. For those who attend the entire workshop, it meets the requirements for the 35 hours of contact education required for registering for the PMP® exam. Some students may use this workshop as the beginning of their preparation and may plan to take the examination at some distant point in the future. Others will use this workshop as a capstone experience and take the examination soon after the workshop. (Some training providers have an audit policy that may allow you to do both). The secondary goal of this workshop is to give students a rapid, in-depth exposure to the project management processes defined by the PMBOK® Guide. The workshop has been designed to work either way. ITIL v3 Foundation Bootcamp
