The Open Computing Lab at Heartland is a welcoming place for students and community members to gain access to the cutting-edge technology and computer programs they need to succeed.
The Open Computer Lab offers 70 Intranet-ready computers that have the most common academic software. Any Heartland student can use the computers to conduct research, type papers or access the College’s learning management system software for online and hybrid courses.
The Computing Lab is open during Academic Support Center Hours. Students type in their ID number to log into the computers.
The Community Zone offers several computer terminals reserved for community members, who can use them once a day for a three-hour time frame. To access the computers, simply come to the Academic Support Center and request a community user account. A lab assistant is on-hand to answer any questions.
