BASSET Training for Beverage Alcohol Sellers & Servers

Basset Steps Training

If you are a beverage alcohol seller or server and you need ILCC BASSET training, our program is for you!

Gain the tools necessary to prevent and discourage over consumption and driving under the influence.

By July 1, 2017, all on premise alcohol servers (and those checking identification for alcohol service) will be mandated to take a BASSET (Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training) for McLean, Logan and Livingston Counties.

When you work in the beverage and restaurant industry, fitting a four hour training into your schedule isn’t always easy. We offer multiple ways for you and your employees to attend a training that can work with your busy schedule.

  • Open Enrollment classes: These are scheduled throughout the semester on Monday evenings. Please follow the links below to check when the next open enrollment class is scheduled.
    • Fall 2017 TBA
  • Customized Training on campus: We’ll work with your schedule and set up a training at one of our campus locations (Normal, Pontiac or Lincoln) based on the date and time that works best for you.
  • Customized Training at your place of business: We can bring the training to you. We provide all the equipment necessary to teach the program, you just provide the space.

After successful completion of the training, you and your employees will receive a certificate of completion from Heartland Community College and a BASSET card in the mail from ILCC. You can also access your BASSET card online through the ILCC’s website. Certification is good for 3 years.

For pricing details or to schedule a customized training, please contact our office at 309-268-8160.
