Get Ready to SOAR at Heartland

New Part-Time Students
(enrolling in 3 or fewer classes; 11 or fewer credit hours)

To start:

• Submit HCC application.
• Request high school and previous college official transcripts.
• Secure funding for college.

Next step:

• Complete online SOAR session.
• Complete basic skills assessment.
• Meet with an Academic Advisor.
• Build your schedule and enroll in classes. Be sure to know important deadlines, including the last day for open enrollment.
• Take your student ID card photo

Last, but not least:

• Pay tuition/fees by the deadline.
• Activate your refund preference after you have received your Heartland OneCard.
