The Heartland Smart Steppers walk anytime from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and each person receives a free pedometer, coffee in the lounge area off the track, and incentives for miles walked. Walkers can use the Fitness and Recreation Center track anytime the center is open but are discouraged from using it between 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. because it's in high use at the time by student athletes.
