Greenspace Team
The mission of the Greenspace team is to increase appreciation of the environment, to guide grounds development at the campus, and to provide learning opportunities for students through nature.

First STEP Environmental Club
This student organization strives to increase awareness of environmental issues at Heartland Community College and in the community by assisting with Earth Day events, participating in habitat restoration activities on campus, and by sponsoring speakers for students and community members.

Outdoor Exploration Club
This student club provides students the opportunity to venture into areas such as spelunking, canoeing, hiking and more. Students experience the excitement and education only "Mother Nature" can provide.
