The most visible feature of the Pregracke Center is an interactive exhibit featuring the environmental reclamation work of HCC alumnus and internationally reknown environmentalist, Chad Pregracke, and the nonprofit organization he founded -- Living Lands & Waters (LL&W). The exhibit is a floor-to-ceiling photo collage of the rivers they work to reclaim, the boats and barges they use, and the unique objects found along the way. Interchangeable panels highlight Chad's guiding philosophy as well as the astonishing volume of garbage removed from the river environment. Central to the exhibit is a touchscreen monitor and sound system that allows visitors to view a collection of feature videos on Chad's work. When the monitor is not in use, the system delivers background sounds of a running river.

The exhibit was designed by Trace Design of Normal, Illinois and recently received a Silver Medallion award from the District 3 National Council for Marketing & Public Relations.
