Have you ever wondered about comets or what the Challenger Learning Center is all about? Maybe you have had an opportunity to observe a space mission, but not participate. The Challenger Learning Center at Heartland Community College is happy to announce two exciting opportunities for the community to explore at the CLC on Saturday, February 26, 2011. Beginning at 10:00 am and available every 20 minutes, the CLC staff will be on hand to provide tours of the facility and simulators. Tours are free and open to the public. Once tours conclude at 12:00 pm, we set out on our own simulated space mission to Rendezvous with a Comet. This out-of-this-world simulated space mission is open to all children and adults with a 5th grade reading level or higher.Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult; Cost per person is $20.00.
