What is a Blended Program?

Blended programs are sometimes developed as a way to combine various funding streams for preschool education to increase the diversity of the children participating in the program. Classrooms that combine special education funding, at-risk funding, and private-pay enrollment allow all children to participate regardless of disability or at-risk status.

Two examples of blended preschool classrooms in Illinois are located in the Villages of Glenview and Winnetka.
