Phi Theta Kappa and the Honors Program

Heartland Community College's Honors Program is aligned with the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the International honor society of two-year colleges. As such, Heartland's program focuses on the development of student's scholarship, leadership and service skills, while also providing opportunities for fellowship through Honors student events.

All students in the Honors Program will complete an application for provisional membership in the Heartland chapter of Phi Theta Kappa – International Honor Society of the Two Year College. Visit the Student Engagement Office for more information. During the second semester, Honors Program students earning a 3.5 GPA can join PTK. Membership dues will be paid by the Honors Program.
