Deborah has a long history of post-secondary teaching and administration. Additionally, she has and continues to engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Her endeavors in this area of interest have resulted in numerous national publications, presentations, and leadership roles, including serving as editor of a teaching journal. At Heartland Community College, her primary responsibility is to provide direction, leadership, and management for the Instructional Development Center including offering professional development for faculty with regard to instructional methods and assessment techniques. Here to serve your media technology needs... after graduating from Illinois State University with a Psychology degree Tom decided to return to school and chose Heartland. Here he graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Digital Media Communications and a Web Media Designer Vocational Certificate. Before becoming the Media Technologist in the IDC, Tom worked as a HCC Library Assistant in the Towanda Plaza in 1999 and 2000, a Tutor and Lab Assistant in the Digital Media Department in 2005 and 2006 and served as Lab Assistant in the IDC from October 2005 to September 2007. He enjoys assisting with all aspects of media design ranging from audio production, Adobe Flash, graphic design, web design, and video production.
