Traffic Safety School Instructor
We seek applicants for a part-time instructor to teach Traffic Safety School courses to individuals who have received a traffic citation in McLean County. The instructor will provide classroom instruction according to established procedures, account for student course completion, and stay current with evolving traffic practices and regulations.
Classes are held most Wednesday nights from 6-10pm, most Saturdays from 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm, and one Friday per month from 6-10pm. An eight-hour course is held every three months on a Saturday, from 8am-5pm. Must have availability to teach at least four classes per month as assigned according to these times.
- Substantial working knowledge of traffic laws
- Current driver’s license
- Experience teaching adults
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Associate’s degree
- Law enforcement experience
- Familiarity with McLean County Traffic Court
