Heartland Library is committed to providing students with the resources they need to reach their learning potential.

Current students should access the Library's online resources through myHeartland

How can you fit millions of books on campus?

In addition to the books on the Library shelves, students can request materials from academic libraries across Illinois and from libraries around the world.

Using the Library online, students can find magazine, journal and newspaper articles, search encyclopedias, format citations, access class reserves, listen to music, and browse recommended Web sites.

How can the Library reduce my research time?

Heartland librarians work closely with instructors to understand student research needs. Don't waste time on random searches. Come in and talk with a librarian about your research, request a Research Appointment or email a question

How long can I check stuff out?

Your Student ID card is also your Library card. Use it to check out books, videos, magazines and more.

What else does the Library offer?

Students can join the Student Library Advisory Committee (SLAC) and participate in Heartland Reads. Students also have access to the Group Study Room.
