What are some credible sites about film?
- Search by movie, actor or keyword. Also includes essays on film genre and some major film studios.
- Online film journal specializing in Japanese cinema, horror, Asian, and gay/lesbian film studies. Analyzes and reviews current, classic, independent and international films.
- Search for reviews and summaries of foreign films by title or country.
- A database searchable by movie, actor, director or television series. Plot outlines, actors, production details, user comments and ratings are included.
- Compiles reviews (movies, books, games, music and television) from all over the Internet. Reviews are separated by professional reviewers and individuals. Metacritic then averages all the reviews and gives a "metascore" for each reviewed item.
- Multiple reviews are posted for more than 30,000 movie titles.
- Wide variety of current and historical movie-related info. The site contains reviews by both critics and individuals. It also has news stories, current movie information, DVD releases and movie trailers.
- Browse or search 28,000 New York Times movie reviews. Included in the free review archive are all films reviewed since 1960, reviews of all Best Picture Academy Award winners, as well as The New York Times guide to the Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made.
- Searchable collection of Roger Ebert's movie reviews from 1985-present.
