First Annual HCC Alumni Event May 16

Former Heartland students are invited to reconnect with the College at Heartland's first annual Alumni Association event -- titled "Back to the Nest" -- from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 16. The event will take place in the quad area on the College's main campus.

**Update: due to wet weather, the Back to the Nest event will take place in the atrium of the Workforce Development Center on Heartland's main campus.**

Though geared toward Heartland alumni and current students, community members also are invited to attend the event to explore the campus and join in several activities, including:

  • trolley tours of campus
  • free food and beverages from Redbird Catering
  • athletic challenges, games, and inflatables
  • the Normal Fire Department's "Survive Alive" House
  • face painting by the Zoo Lady
  • "I.D. A Kid" -- a child safety identification program sponsored by Prudential Financial
  • a performance by the family-friendly Biscuits n Gravy Band
Alumni attending the event will have an opportunity to join the growing Heartland Community College alumni association by officially registering for free membership. In addition, members who sign up at Back to the Nest will be given a key that could potentially open a unique "treasure chest" of prizes at the event.
