The Heartland Community College Student Government Association and Heartland Activities Committee are looking for students to become involved in significant leadership roles.

Student Government Association
The Student Government Association is the official voice of the Heartland Community College student body. As members of student government, the leaders of this group have the opportunity to meet with the Heartland Community College administration, representing the issues and concerns of HCC students.

Heartland Activities Committee
The Heartland Activities Committee is the newest student organization on the Heartland campus and will be responsible for planning and presenting non-academic entertainment and educational programs. The types of programs vary from year to year, as entertainment trends and students change.

Benefits of Student Leadership
Students involved in Student Government Association and Heartland Activities Committee share in the accomplishments of the organizations, providing an educational opportunity to further develop skills in group interaction, management, event planning, budgeting, negotiation, time management. As an added benefit some tuition waivers are available for student leaders.
