Four Ways to Pay
We know that paying for college takes planning. That’s why Heartland Community College offers several options to help you budget for your education.
Payment of your student account charges may be made:
- in person at the Normal, Pontiac or Lincoln campus using cash [Normal only], check, money order or credit/debit card
- over the phone with a credit/debit card [VISA, Master Card, Discover and American Express are accepted] by calling a Cashier at 309-268-8140
- by mailing a check to 1500 W Raab Rd, Normal, IL 61761; ATTN: Cashier
- by making a full online payment by logging in at https://my.heartland.edu and selecting the IRIS tab
Did you know you can set up a payment plan?
An automated monthly installment plan is available to all students to spread out payments into more manageable amounts. The earlier you enroll in the plan, the smaller your payments will be. To set up your payment plan, log onto myHeartland and click the IRIS tab, then click on Account Inquiry/Pay My Bill under “Finances”. You control whether your monthly payment is made from your checking account or credit card. A fee of $30.00 is charged at the time you set-up your payment arrangement.
Spring 2013 payment plan options are based on the date you complete your class registration. Depending on when you complete registration you may have three to five equal payments.
Paying with Financial Aid:
You should complete a FAFSA (“Free Application for Federal Student Aid”) as early as possible at www.fafsa.gov. Be sure to list Heartland (030838) as a school choice on the FAFSA.
Once Heartland receives your information from the government, we will begin to process your application for a financial award and/or loan. If your tuition becomes due before Heartland knows whether you’ll receive financial assistance, you will need to make other financial arrangements to pay your tuition or enroll in the payment plan by the tuition due date*. Visit www.heartland.edu/financialAid for more information.
