Free Tax Services at HCC Through April 10

Heartland Community College will serve as one of the Bloomington-Normal sites for free 2013 tax preparation services for income-qualified families (married or single with children with total income less than $55,000) and individuals (single with no children with income less than $35,000). The tax services are provided through the Bloomington- Normal VITA Foundation and Mount Moriah Christian Church. 

Tax preparation services are provided by certified volunteer tax preparers who will file your taxes online confidentially, fast, and free. All services are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants are asked to bring all tax documents, including W-2s and 1099s, Social Security cards or Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers for all family members, property tax bills, records of college expenses, a copy of last year's tax return if available, a bank account number and routing number to direct deposit your refund, and a valid photo ID.

These tax preparation services will be available through April 10, 2014.
