HCC Student to Compete at State IT Championship

Michael Morrow, a student taking the NETW 122 Cisco Routing Essentials class, was recently given an opportunity to compete in the Cyber Aces Competition. Michael took advantage of this free opportunity, and in the third round (covering scripting languages and systems administration), he earned a perfect score, placing him fourth in the state among more than 900 participants. The total event score placed Michael 13th in the state overall, earning him an invitation to the Governor's State Championship March 1 at Moraine Valley Community College (Palos Hills). The championship is a one-day event consisting of three rounds of competition with escalating challenges.
