Students: Earn Free Credit with GPS Workshops

The Guided Path to Success (GPS) Workshop Series is an assortment of workshops designed to help you with study techniques, life skills, and career readiness. The focus in spring semester is Career Success. Workshop sessions meet every Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in ICB 2302. Upcoming topics include:

  • February 27: Planning Career Pathways
  • March 6: Exploring Your Career Interests & Skills
  • March 20: Exploring Personality and Values
  • March 27: Deciding on a College Major
  • April 3: Navigating the College Transfer Process
  • April 10: Applying for Financial Aid and Scholarships
  • April 17: Transitioning to College
  • April 24: Understanding the Job Search Process
  • May 1:  Writing a Resume
  • May 8: Developing Interview Skills

Earn one free academic credit by participating in seven (7) different workshops during the course of the school year and completing seven of the “after” workshop assignments in addition to a reflective essay.
