T.E.A.C.H. Association

The T.E.A.C. H. (Tomorrow's Educators And Children's Heroes) Association is a campus organization for those interested in becoming teachers. Founded in the fall of 2005, this organization meets monthly and focuses on activities/projects involving school age children. Past activities/events have included: a notebook collection/distribution for a social/emotional project at Oakdale Elementary, collecting school supplies, raising money for charitible organizations, assisting with a book drive, tutoring school age children, hosting Teacher Appreciation Week activities, planning and hosting Christmas, Easter and Halloween parties for local children via the Home Sweet Home Mission, Boys & Girls Club, Unity Center and the event for the children of unemployed in McLean County . The organization allows those who want to become teachers a chance to network with others who have similar career goals, gain valuable leadership skills, obtain experiences by volunteering to work with children and learn more about scholarships and potential job opportunities.
