Visiting (Non-Degree Seeking) Students

Earn credit at Heartland while attending another college or university.
Enrollment Steps
Step 1: Apply.
To submit your application you'll need to know:
- Your personal information, such as: Social Security Number, mailing address, phone number, etc.
- Which Program of Study you wish to enroll in.
- The semester you wish to begin taking courses.
*Note: If you have applied in the last year, a new application may not be necessary. Please contact the Admissions Office at at 309-268-8010 or admissions@heartland.edu.
If you don't have a Social Security Number, please contact the Admissions Office (309-268-8010 or admissions@heartland.edu) to complete the online application or visit the Heartland offline application.
Step 2: Login.
Log into your myHeartland account for your personal next steps.
Visit home.heartland.edu, click on “Manage My Password,” and refer to your Student ID and Login Name you received in your acceptance e-mail.
Applying for scholarships, making appointments, registering for classes, and your Heartland email will be accessed through your myHeartland account.
Step 3: Submit unofficial transcript & enroll.
Consult with your academic advisor at your home institution to determine which courses(s) you'd like to take at Heartland.
Confirm that Heartland offers the course(s) you'd like to take and that you meet the course prerequisites by viewing the class schedule.
Submit an unofficial transcript to records@heartland.edu. If prior coursework does not meet prerequisites, complete placement testing.
Be in touch with an academic advisor during drop-in Zoom hours or through raab.advisors@heartland.edu.
Financial Steps
Step 1: Submit residency.
Proof of in-district residency is required for you to receive the in-district tuition rate unless you graduated from a high school located in Heartland's district within the past year. Upload documentation or send directly to records@heartland.edu.Step 2: Pay tuition.
When it comes to paying for college, you have lots of options. Heartland Community College provides students with access to their student bills online in home.heartland.edu.
