Visiting & Non-Degree Seeking Students

Earn credit at Heartland while attending another college or university.

Step 1: Apply.

To submit your application you'll need to know:

  1. Your personal information, such as: Social Security Number, mailing address, phone number, etc.
  2. Which Program of Study you wish to enroll in.
  3. The semester you wish to begin taking courses.

Don't have a Social Security Number? Visit the Heartland offline application to learn how to apply.

Step 2: Submit Unofficial Transcript & Enroll.

Choose to meet with an advisor during virtual drop-in hours OR via email.  Email raab.advisors@heartland.edu an unofficial transcript or progress summary to verify prerequisites (please ensure that this document includes both your name and the school that you are attending/sending it from).  In this email, provide Advisement with the name of the course(s) you hope to take with us.

If prior coursework does not meet course prerequisites, please complete placement testing.

Step 3: Submit Residency.

Proof of in-district residency is required for you to receive the in-district tuition rate unless you graduated from a high school located in Heartland's district within the past year. Upload documentation or send directly to admissions@heartland.edu.

Step 4: Pay Tuition.

When it comes to paying for college, you have lots of options. Heartland Community College provides students with access to their student bills online in IRIS and also mails paper bills to students.
