This year, the Heartland Community College Foundation will award over 215 scholarships to local students.
Types of scholarships
We have a wide variety of scholarships available for students including those who are:
Entering high-demand fields including technology, business, engineering, nursing and welding
Experiencing financial need
Active volunteers in our communities
Non-traditional aged (22+ years)
High achieving learners including valedictorians and salutatorians
The first member of their family to attend college

Many organizations outside of Heartland offer additional scholarship opportunities. The availability of these scholarships is subject to change. HCC does not endorse or sponsor these external scholarships.
Clarence and Marie Medley Convservation Scholarship
The Henry County Natural Area Guardians is offering one $500 scholarship. You must be enrolled in your sophmore or junior year in college.

Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship
Parentinn created the Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship to prevent cyberbullying. This $1000 scholarship is for high school,;undergraduate and graduate students and students planning to enter college.

Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundations Scholarship
he IRTA Foundation awards one full-time student in each IRTA Foundation area a $1500 scholarship. You must be an incoming junior or senior in college and pursuing a degree in education.

Illinois Sheriffs' Association College Scholarship
One $500 scholarship will be awarded by McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage.

Aurumania is providing a $1000 scholarship ($500 for Fall and $500 for Spring) if you are enrolled in courses related to: engineering, medicine, nursing, applied sciences and arts.
